HS2 saves the day - contractor helps wedding go smoothly

HS2 is committed to being a good neighbour every single day by respecting the people and communities we impact and being sensitive to their needs. Crucially, our contractors share the same ethos, and are taking opportunities to leave a positive impact along the route.

Our contractors Balfour Beatty, currently carrying out our ground investigation works for Phase 2a in Cheshire, exemplified what being a good neighbour is as they ‘saved the day’ for a bride and groom whose wedding might otherwise have been a washout. Responding to a request for help Balfour Beatty installed MaxiTrack walkway on sodden and muddy ground where the wedding was taking places, allowing all the guests safe and mud-free access to the marquee.
